Part 1: Memory

Question 1: Do you consider yourself to have a good memory?

Well, let’s just say I wouldn’t win any memory competitions! I’m more of an absent-minded type. My friends even call me “Forgetful Nicky” sometimes. I can never remember where I put my keys or phone.

Question 2: How do you deal with forgetting things?

Honestly, it can be pretty frustrating. Sometimes things just go in one ear and out the other. But I’ve learned a few tricks. For important things, I try to commit them to my photographic memory, you know, really visualize it. And to-do lists are a lifesaver!

Question 3: Do you think a good memory is an inborn skill?

I don’t think it’s entirely black and white. There’s definitely a degree of neuroplasticity involved. That means our brains have the ability to adapt and learn. So, we can hone our memory skills with practice. There’s all sorts of memorization software out there, but even simple things like exercising your patience and consistency can help.

Question 4: Have you ever used any techniques to improve your memory?

Absolutely! Like I mentioned, to-do lists are a must. But I also try to connect new information to something I already know. It helps the information stick. Maybe I can’t afford a personal assistant yet, but with some effort, I can definitely improve!
