There has been a debate about whether to exhibit merely artworks from regional inhabitants in museums and galleries. Despite several advantages of this approach, I believe that it would be best to display both domestic and international pieces of art.
Exhibiting only local artworks brings multiple benefits. As it only focuses on domestic products, it could greatly increase job opportunities for local artists, leading to not only better living conditions but also a more widespread reputation for them. Moreover, since these artists tend to draw inspiration from their surroundings, such displays in museums and galleries could emphasize the specialty of the area. The Daklak Museum, for example, has devoted a large space to regional arts, which illustrate the spectacular landscape as well as the vibrant life of various ethnic groups in this province. This has effectively highlighted the unique beauty of this area.
