Oh man, just hearing this question brings back some golden memories. So, let me tell you about Minh, my childhood partner-in-crime—well, not literally, but we sure did cause a bit of chaos together.
We met on the first day of primary school. I remember it clearly: I was this super shy kid sitting alone with my lunchbox, and he just rocked up outta nowhere, said something hilarious about the teacher’s moustache, and boom—instant friendship. From that day on, we were pretty much inseparable.
We used to do everything together—ride bikes till sunset, trade comic books, and build these wild forts out of old cardboard boxes. I swear, our street was basically our kingdom, and we were the kings. Sometimes we even made fake ‘secret missions’ and tried to spy on the neighbours… not creepy at all, right?
What really made me like him was just how effortlessly funny and loyal he was. He’d always have my back—like, if I forgot my homework, he’d distract the teacher while I tried to copy his answers. And he never made a big deal out of things. He was just… easy to be around, you know? There was never any drama. He made even the boring days feel like adventures.
We’ve kinda drifted apart since then—life happens—but those childhood memories? They’re etched in my brain, and Minh will always have a special place there.
